Halloween costumes inspired by Egyptian Movies

Halloween is around the corner, everyone is running around to look for costumes and find some inspiration on what to wear.

.

So,I did some research and found some ideas from Egyptian movies, that can be pulled-off as costumes for your Halloween party.

Al- Nazara Al Sawdaa ( the black sunglasses), Do a Nadia Lotfy look with black sunglasses and a LBD. A change from the Audrey Hepburn costume. You can add a blond wig.

Ma3lesh E7na Benetbahdel, the famous se3eedy character.

Abla Kamel in Awdet Al Nadla, all you need is hoop earrings, a turtle neck, checkered shirt and a head scarf

Al Nom Fel 3asal, For a group of three, that's a funny costume. All you need is a melaya (sheet) or a big towel and walk around covering yourselves (see the picture)

Mohamed Heneidy in Wesh Egram. The Hitler Mustache and the se3eedy cap.

Abdo Motta, This is for all the gym freaks- look at me kind of guy. Wrap the snake around your neck and have two balady mozzas walking behind you.

The police man and the four kitties.

From the old Arabic movie Yasmine, Forget about Wednesday Addams from the Addams family we have Yasmine, the poor street performer.

I don't know what they were thinking really, but they're outfits already look like costumes.

The Egyptian Mrs. Doubtfire.

This could go for a couple Hend rostom and youssef Shahine, acting as the train station vendors from the movie Bab El Hadid.

Finally, for the not so outthere women, be inspired by the Egyptian Cinderella Soad Hosny, in this polka dot outfit.

Pulling off the distressed denim look

When a new trend is in, people in Cairo tend to go overboard and you see people wearing or doing the same thing everywhere to the point it sickens you and you hate it.

I've been going out lately, everywhere I turn I see women wearing ripped jeans. They made me hate the trend even though I've been wearing ripped jeans for years now. It's not a new thing, back in the days people would think that you're from some punk/ rock chic or they would look at you as you're dirty or something.

But, now its ripped jeans eeeeverywheere, even old women in their 50's are wearing ripped jeans.
Its become so much, that a friend of mine told me that he had women coming in for an interview in ripped jeans. Which is a whole other story ( U don't even wear jeans to an interview!!!) what are you thinking?

You have to know what suits you best, many trends don't suit everybody. Not just because it's in fashion, means you have to follow the trend and wear it. What you wear is a definition of your style and partially who you are.

So, if you want to be trendy here are some tips, on pulling off the trend. But first, know what suits you best!

Keep it simple.
Don't go overboard with the rips on the jeans, it's just ugly. If you want to show off so much skin         you're better off without them.

It's nice to show off some skin, but just a peek, keep it classy.

Mix and Match
Give your outfit and edge, like keep the top formal but the ripped jeans would give the not so formal look to it. By wearing a blazer or a white shirt.

Finally, please please please. Know your fit!
When it comes to ripped jeans, go for the boyfriend fit or if you want to go for the skinny fit buy ones that fit comfortably so you don't end up looking like this while pulling off the ripped look..

Alexander Wang with H&M

Alexander Wang and H&M collaborated on a new collection that is sports-themed.
H&M realeased some teaser photos of the collection that will hit stores on November 6th.

The collection includes strappy bodycon dresses, mesh panels, and one very sexy sports bra. And don't overlook the models themselves — the "dream team," including soccer player Andy Carroll, kickboxer Rivaldino dos Santos, and models Joan Smalls, Raquel Zimmermann, Isabeli Fontana, and Natasha Poly.
However, seeing this collection on these models, makes you wonder is it going to be flattering on everyone and fit as perfectly as they look, since they're all skin tight outfits.

Will H&M Egypt honour us with a taste of Wang's collection? Let's wait and see.

Scroll down to see some of the collection.
